The Lakeside Story...

 The Lakeside Community Centre is the most central function centre in North-East Victoria.

Currently managed by caterer Bree Goldhammer, the function centre offers the most picturesque views of the Benalla lake and in the evening the lights that shine over the lake from the bridge is something special. 

​

The community centre caters to most functions from birthdays, weddings, wakes, corporate and community events. The Benalla Saints Sports Club manages the bar facilities in both the Red Gum Room Bar and the Glasshouse.

The Glasshouse has a large polished timber dance floor, PA system & speakers, projector and stage. The Red Gum Room is a great casual function room for intimate get togethers or small corporate meetings. With 60inch tv, sporting memorabilia from past and present players, a pool table and karaoke machine. The Red Gum Room is the best place to grab a frothy on a Friday afternoon to support your local footy club.

Still today we have numerous volunteers who have been responsible for maintaining the function centre, ensuring the building is kept clean, garden is maintained and overall a safe place for community members to feel as if it were their own. The project of having the building erected would never had existed if it weren't for the dedication and hard work from the magnanimous volunteers in Benalla, so to them we say ...
